The Digital Library for Earth System Education (DLESE) is spearheading a project that has brought together scientists, educators and digital library developers to create an online teaching and learning tool called DLESE Teaching Boxes. This poster explains what Teaching Boxes are, their benefits, and the digital library technical services that are applied to interweave current Earth events, emerging research, real-time data, and classroom activities into a discovery-based learning environment.
